Been awhile since any sort of update so here is the latest for those that care.

GSR028: Toil- ""Lullabies for Insects" mCD OUT NOW

Dark and dissonant black metal from the middle nowhere. Four tracks including a cover of The Cure's "Lovesong" on a specially designed CD - Limited to 1000 copies, split release with Rusty Axe Records.

I've had a few things in the pipes that I really could not talk about until now since all the details are smoothed out.

First off, I'm more than honored and pleased to announce that GSR will be releasing the first full length from North Carolina's own ANU. For those with any common sense of this scene will know who this band is and what they are all about. This is all new and unreleased material from the band, first official release since the 7" on Ma-Kahru almost 10 years ago, by far one of the best bands to emerge from the US. All the details and pretty pictures people like to look at will be posted shortly once I gather all the final materials from the band. This album will be released by years end with a special package deal, as usual more information in its proper time.

Secondly, I've finally ironed out the details and can now announce something that's been brewing since May. GSR has drawn up a pact with the Moribund Cult to release the second Bahimiron full length, "Southern Nihilizm" on vinyl. Details are still in the works but expect a heavy duty vinyl presentation of what I consider one of the best albums to come out this past year. Release date will be sometime in Spring of 2010, details will be posted in time. Do not ask about this, silence will be returned.

Kathonik and Esprit Derange CDs are about done and will be released very soon, taking longer on my end than I wanted to, shit happens. Also, many thanks to all those that have been supporting the hell out of us at the past few big shows here in Charlotte, NC (Destroyer 666 and Samhain Festival), it is greatly appreciated. Hails to Ian and the Destroyer crew for being upstanding Aussie boys and delivering one of the most punishing shows I've ever seen. Hails to Aura/Sariel for setting up the Samahin gig, it was really good to see a decent show in the Queen City for once. Drunken salutes to the Legions of Astaroth boys, fuggin road warriors and deliverers of some of the finest black metal to emerge from the South; Rat entrails and whiskey shots to the Manticore death squadron, The cats in Hordes of Nebulah for driving so god damn far to play, any fugger that wears a Master's Hammer shirt and drinks beer with me are good in my book, the Nekcrium kids for making my old ass feel a little less bitter about what the future holds, killer set! Enough drunken ramblings and random out of the blue hails. The distro got raided like a Catholic girls school in Harlem at these past two shows so it's a tad fucked up and I need to get my lists updated, expect by mid-week so be patient on distro orders/questions I'll get back with ya soon, same goes with any other emails I've got.

Small update this go round. GSR is proud to announce that we have gone into conspiracy with the excellent Canadian horde Insidious Omen to release the mCD "To Cast the Last Shadow," which was originally released on cassette by Tour De Garde back in May 2008. More details on this release and when it'll released will be posted at the proper time. The layout for the coreleases of the Kathonik CD and Toil mCD both respectfully are in the works and will be sent to press as soon as all necessary parts are done, information on these will be posted in it's proper time, do not email about them you will be returned silence, patience is a virtue. Esprit Derange/Malmhrid/Fjelstad/Begravelse- "Dark Spirits Reunion" CD is in the final stages of prep work and will be sent to press by months end if all goes as planned.

Two reviews I've recieved for the Bahimiron/Unchrist "Last of the Confederates" CD. Those that wish to review this, email me for possible promos, also anyone that has a review send it in and I'll post it
